President's Message

Jeannie "Hoard" Ammermann
Cookeville, TN
Jeannie is the Founding President of Americas 9/11 Memorial
Quilts. She grew up in rural Bronson, MI., lived in
Naples, FL. from 1997 to 2006 when finally relocating to Cookeville,
TN. where she and her husband, Ret.
SFC Andrew C. Ammermann now reside. Jeannie is the mother of
Firefighter Andrew N. Hoard, mother-in-law
to Brandy Scott Hoard and grandmother of Isabella Jean-3 yrs, twins
Zachary Scott and Alexander Ray Hoard- 2 yrs.
Americas 9/11 Memorial Quilts is dedicated to preserve the
memory, life and legacy of each victim killed on
Sept 11, 2001. To do so without losing prospective of the commitment
made, with respect to families and dignity
of victims. Our mission is one that echoes across the United States,
"We Will Never Forget". Since the completion
of the quilts, we extend our support to the heroes whom are now sick
and dying of toxins they received while at
ground zero. We continue in support to these individuals to ensure
they receive proper health care and financial
aid. We believe we must as a country stand with these brave heroes
and give them a chance at life.
America's 9/11 Memorial Quilt Made it's
final journey home to NYC on September
8th and was dedicated on September 9th, 2006 to the families of
9/11.
Our prayers will always be with families of the heroes who died on
Sept 11th.
On September 9, 2006, dedication of the New York State Courts Memorial
Quilt, Port Authority Civilian Memorial
Quilt, EMS Memorial Quilt, FDNY Memorial Quilt and America's 9/11 Memorial
Quilt was made to families at the
Marriott Financial Center Grand Ballroom in NYC. Bill Doyle accepted the
quilt on behalf of all families. Following
the dedication, a special announcement was made by Alice Greenwald,
Executive Director, WTC Memorial
Museum. America's 9/11 Memorial Quilt was accepted for permanent
preservation in the National Sept 11th
Memorial & Museum. Deed of Gift was signed at that time by Bill Doyle,
Jeannie Ammermann and Alice Greenwald.
The Memorial Tribute Poems, Organizational Poem was also accepted ad
accompanied the quilt to museum officials.
On Behalf of America's 9/11 Memorial Quilts, we give sincere
thanks to the thousands of citizen volunteers
across the nation for their commitment and dedication to this
project. It was thru these compassionate hearts,
true patriots and committed beings that America's voice was heard in
NYC. A message that all families must
realize, America will never forget what happened on September 11,
2001. America will forever honor and pay
tribute to their loved ones and the heroic deeds done on Sept 11th.
